Please reboot your computer and try again.\r\nError code: 0x800F0954\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>The same error may occur when attempting to install additional speech recognition or supplemental fonts using Optional features in the Settings page or using DISM command-line.\u00a0For instance, you run the following command to install .NET Framework 3.5 from an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.winhelponline.com\/blog\/open-elevated-command-prompt-windows\/\">elevated or administrator Command Prompt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>DISM \/Online \/Enable-Feature \/FeatureName:NetFx3 \/AllAfter pressing\u00a0<kbd>ENTER<\/kbd>, here is the full error message you might see:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"err\">Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool\r\nVersion: 10.0.16299.15\r\nImage Version: 10.0.16299.192\r\nEnabling feature(s)\r\n[==========================100.0%==========================]\r\nError: 0x800f0954\r\nDISM failed. No operation was performed.\r\nFor more information, review the log file.\r\nThe DISM log file can be found at C:\\Windows\\Logs\\DISM\\dism.log<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n<p>If the error 0x800f0954 occurs installing optional Windows features, it may be because the system is unable to access the Windows Update server. This is especially true in case of domain-joined computers which is configured to downloads updates from a WSUS server. It could also be possible that your computer was once a part or a corporate or domain network and the group policy setting is still in place.<\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Bypass WSUS to Install Features\/Updates Directly from Windows Update<\/p>\n<p>To fix the problem, temporarily bypass WSUS server using the following registry edit (requires administrator privileges).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Right-click Start, and click Run<\/p>\n<p>Type regedit.exe and click OK<\/p>\n<p>Go to the following registry key:<\/p>\n<p>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate\\AU<\/p>\n<p>In the right-pane, if the value named UseWUServer exists, set its data to 0<\/p>\n<p>Exit the Registry Editor<\/p>\n<p>Restart Windows.<\/p>\n<p>See if you\u2019re able to install .Net Framework 3.5 or any optional features now.
